Who we are

Arty Records is a fully independent record label and management service founded in  South Australia, 1992. It’s wholly owned by SA artist, Ronnie Taheny.

Arty Records has a head office in Adelaide, an office in Sydney and two subsidiary branches based in Germany and Ireland.

We are a company of individuals who are hell-bent on transforming musicians’ original careers and believe in the old-fashioned business principles of integrity, honesty, loyalty, good service with a smile and, oddly enough, keeping one’s word. And great advice too.

We’re not really into rockstars, ego, attitude and entitlement. We’re not really interested in dreamers who expect someone else to stroke their insecurities. We’re not your mum nor your slave. But we are into workers whose feet are on the ground. We will match your efforts and conviction – hour by hour, result by result. We work equally as hard teaching you how to fish….you know. Remember, real talent is still only about 20% of what gets you there. If you’ve got that plus a real hunger – and that means you’re starving – probably in more ways than one,  you might still be frustrated with locked doors. We can help you with the key. If you know how to behave nicely and work like a dog….well then, we might just let you into the AR kennel which actually smells nice.

We can’t manage everyone but we try to help where we can – established acts and fledglings alike – which explains why we’ve ramped-up and amped-up our career support services with Ronnie at the helm.

Now clients can cherry-pick from how to plan a music career (that actually gets you from A to maybe even Z) right through to support for touring Europe. No one should have to reinvent the wheel, we give back where possible. And if we like you.

And as much as we love our business, we acknowledge that we are a specialist team focussing on a particular genre very close to our heart. In other words, we care.

We are also aware that every day’s a school day so if there is anything you can see that we can improve upon, tell us here.
